I even persuaded my husband to buy a real tree instead of the artificial tree we normally use. Then I decorated the tree with the Victorian ornaments that I have been collecting over the years. Also, I put the ornaments for each child and for myself and my husband on the tree. The whole house was also decorated in the same Victorian theme including cherub and angel motifs. For the windows, I used these beautiful window candles that my mother had given me several years ago. Just seeing the window candles made me think of her and made the room filled with her memory. After I finished the inside of the house, I helped my husband put up white lights on the outside of our house and on some of the trees. Everyone who saw our house said it was the prettiest on the street.
